Starting A New Club

If this is the first time your club has ever registered with Wyoming Rugby, please follow instructions below.

Starting a club is a great idea. The more people who play rugby the better.Wyoming Rugby and rugby around the United states is growing quickly, so our commitment is to developing quality rugby in Wyoming. There are a few things you need to know about starting a club to make sure it is a success. So here is a detailed list of the bare minimum requirements of starting a club. Additional things to think about include but are not limited to: team jerseys, team logos, purchasing equipment, and fundraising.

The process is fairly straight forward.

1.Get Players

This is perhaps the most important requirement. You need players and they all need to sign waivers and register with Wyoming Rugby. If they are under the age of 18. Parents/Guardians will have to register their child and sign WRO's waiver.

2.Get a Coach

Your team will need a head coach that is level 100 (touch or Flag)  or 200 (tackle) certified through USA rugby. Email Wyoming Rugby's executive director to find out your teams options

3. Develop a name and jersey colors

4. Adhere to all of the Rules and Regulations of WRO (Wyoming Rugby Organization)

5. You must complete the Club Information Form (below).

Once you have submitted that preliminary information, the Wyoming Rugby Executive Director will review your application, and either accept, reject, or accept with conditions. All coaches, and referees affiliated with the club must register directly with USA Rugby.

After your Club is approved and your club will have to set up a Board within your new Club, you must submit the Club signed Code of Conduct Agreement, also found below before your Club can participate in Wyoming Rugby Organization sanctioned events.

All the forms and information you need are located below. Please feel free to contact us at or at (307)399-4687 if you have questions or concerns about the process. We are here to help, and look forward to getting your club off the ground!
